A bronze character with Grapple? There you go! Monk is a great starting martial artist character. He does plenty of damage and gives power to all of his teammates if he is knocked out.
Sacrifice - Power Boost: Upon death, each of his teammates receives +1 bar of power
Fist of Flurry - Grapple: Medium damage
Shaolin Style - Attack: High damage
Dedication - Bonus Attack in percentage for all Monk characters
Shaolin Training - Bonus Health for all Monk characters
Inner Peace - Bonus Recovery for all Monk characters
Lin Kuei is a good teammate for any martial artist character, such as Shirai Ryu, Scorpion or Sub-Zero, because of his passive ability (5% health). His combos are fast, however, he doesn't do much damage without the help of another teammate passive or a piece of equipment. His first special is very similar to Sub-Zero's special attack, unfortunately, Lin Kuei doesn't freeze the opponent.
Health Boost - 5% health for Martial Artist teammates.
Mist - Attack: Medium damage
Forest Blade - Attack: High damage
Ambush - Bonus Attack in percentage for all Lin Kuei characters
Lin Kuei Tradition - Bonus Health for all Lin Kuei characters
Agility - Bonus Recovery for all Lin Kuei characters
Johnny Cage - Ninja Mime
Probably the strongest Bronze character. Bringing the Power Drain with his 1st special attack, Johnny Cage - Ninja Mime might look funny, but he does crack his bronze opponents very easy.
Recovery Boost - 30% recovery for Martial Artist teammates
- Kracker - Attack: Medium damage + Power Drain
- Straight Forceball - Attack: High damage
- Seido Training - Bonus Attack in percentage for all Johnny Cage characters
- Does His Own Stunts - Bonus Health for all Johnny Cage characters
- A Lister - Bonus Recovery for all Johnny Cage characters
The Shirai Ryu character is the first card probably everyone who started the game has received. His basic attack is fast, whist blocking is a little slow, leaving him open to a counterattack. He is best combined with other Martial Artist characters, because of his passive ability, like Lin Kuei, Sub-Zero and Scorpion. At the early stage at the game, I found him very useful in Battle Mode when paired with Kung Lao Shaolin Master as he gains + 300% attack, health, toughness and recovery.
Attach Boost - 5% attack for Martial Artist teammates
Kunai - Attack: Medium damage
Clan Edge - Attack: High damage
Precision - Bonus Attack in percentage for all Shirai Ryu characters
Shirai Ryu Tradition - Bonus Health for all Shirai Ryu characters
Meditation - Bonus Recovery for all Shirai Ryu characters
Mortal Kombat Mobile Bronze Characters Overview
The Bronze characters are the weakest tier of characters in the game. They don't have any specific gear that can give them an advantage, apart from Johnny Cage - Ninja mime and they only have 2 bars of power, for 2 special attacks. Every new account starts off with them and possibly a single Silver character. As with every other game, you need to play your way through to get to the next tier. Meaning you will get a good team of silver or gold characters when you will probably have those starter characters levelled up so far. My personal favorite Bronze character is Johnny Cage - Ninja Mime. He might look funny, but he does a great job defeating other bronze characters in battle 😉.
